Rx insert prescription lenses
The majority of prescription sports sunglasses have tinted polycarbonate lenses, with an Rx insert prescription lens clipped behind the sports lenses.
This has the advantage that you can have a range of inexpensive tinted lenses and interchange them depending on your activity and the weather conditions. You can also simply change the Rx insert lenses if your prescription changes, rather than having to purchase a whole new set of eyewear.
Direct glazed prescription lenses
Another alternative is to go for direct glazed prescription sunglasses in which the polycarbonate tinted lens itself is specially made to your prescription.
