Soroptimist International is a worldwide organisation for women in management and professions, working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women.
They currently have over 90,000 members in more than 3,000 clubs in 126 countries and territories.
The organization has General Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council, (ECOSOC) and has representatives at many meetings of its agencies and organs in UN Centres throughout the world.
Soroptimists work to promote social justice and equity and the empowerment of women through economic independence and greater participation in decision making at all levels.
Soroptimists seek to become an active influence for positive change in society through Awareness, Advocacy, and Action.
