 Why buy a synthetic microdown duvet?
Synthetic fillings are generally a cost effective way of buying a duvet. A good quality microdown or synthetic down can be equally as good as the natural versions. Microfibre acts just like soft fluffy down and the quality versions are made from little balls of fibre which fill the pocket of the cell much better.
They use the same technology in the duvets such as cassette construction instead of channel stitching. This is an improved way of ensuring that the internal features of the duvet are very strong and ensure that the filling stays in one place.
Then there is the added extra of baffle walls which act like a big internal sail that pushes the filling back into the centre of the cell when it is moved around by the natural motion of sleeping.
Synthetic down has excellent anti-allergy properties
Most synthetic downs are sold on their excellent Anti-Allergy properties and are ideal for children as they offer a lightweight alternative to blankets and are considerably more hygienic.
