Expertise from the former management team of the Cambridge Science Park

CAM-SCI, based in Cambridge UK, provides specialist expertise in developing and managing science parks effectively. Run by the team who managed the strategic development and operations of the Cambridge Science Park for 10 years, CAM-SCI combines extensive ‘hands-on’ experience with best-practice research to provide a personal and niche service to other knowledge economy projects.

CAM-SCI works with a wide range of schemes from start-up and incubation through to repositioning and redeveloping existing science parks and technology innovation projects.

UK projects have included developing the Innovation Centre at the Liverpool Science Park and advising on launching Birmingham University’s business incubation scheme, while we have also advised foreign governments in Scandanavia, Eastern Bloc, and Asia on technology transfer through establishing science park networks.

Case study: Liverpool Science Park Innovation Centre

CAM-SCI have been closely involved in the successful launch of the Liverpool Science Park.

The first phase of the project is the delivery of the Liverpool Science Park Innovation Centre to enable the growth and sustainable operation of scientific research, development and knowledge based SMEs and the stimulation of a specialist high value market.

The objective is to create, stimulate and grow the local knowledge economy and thereby to provide economic regeneration through investing in R&D, support for entrepreneurship and the creation of new high value employment.

Since it operational launch in January 2006, the Liverpool Science Park Innovation Centre has recorded early and rapid success in the delivery of its economic and operational objectives.
