London N8 encompasses the areas of Hornsey, Turnpike Lane and Crouch End and spans the London Boroughs of Haringey and Islington.
The Hornsey Vale Community Centre located on Mayfield Rd in the south east on N8 provides a wealth of activities for the youth of the area including football or martial arts in the gym, yoga in the hall and frequent holiday activities as well.
By far the oldest building in the area is the tower of the former Hornsey Parish Church of St. Mary’s.
Crouch End has undergone the greatest transformation over the last couple of decades as the middle classes have moved in and pushed property priced skywards. The high road reflects the areas incoming wealth with its numerous cappuccino bars, upmarket restaurants and estate agents.
The only tube station in the postcode of N8 is Located in Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly Line zone 2). The “First Capital Connect” National Rail line runs through the area from north to south stopping at Hornsey on its way to Moorgate.
