One of Highgate’s most famous land marks is its cemetery located on Swain's Lane. Said to have the finest collection of Victorian funerary architecture in the country two building's are listed Grade I, two Grade II*, and over sixty Grade II.

Famous names such as Karl Marx, George Eliot and several members of Charles Dickens’ family, including his mother and father and his little daughter, Dora are buried here.

Highgate Village is a great mixture of shops, coffee shops, cosy restaurants and pubs. If you enjoy a pint in traditional surroundings The Flask Pub on Highgate West Hill dates back to the early 18th century. Despite renovations and refurbishments it has retained much of its character and atmosphere.

Highgate Tube Station to the north is the only station in N4. Situated on The Northern Line (zone 3) the journey time to central London is approximately 20 minutes.
