N12 area information
London N12 encompasses the areas of Frien Barnet, North Finchley and Woodside Park.
Frien Barnet has a good stock of period properties with the turnings off Woodhouse Road being particularly popular. The majority of the housing stock in North Finchley dates from between the late Victorian era and the 1930s although
there has been a spate of building work in recent years, mainly on infill sites, which has provided many new modern apartments. One such building at Tally Ho Corner houses a multi-use community arts centre and a Health & Fitness Club.
Woodside Park housing is fairly typical of much of North London with its mix of period properties and modern apartment blocks. Some of the most attractive properties, 1930s style with large gardens and garages, are to the north of the area on the border with Totteridge.
Prices in London N12 are generally more affordable than many of the surrounding areas such as Muswell Hill and Totteridge.
Friary Park, located on Frien Barnet Lane, is the main open space in the postcode. Its excellent facilities including a bowling green, café, pitch and putt and children’s play area make it a haven for families with young children.
Woodside Park Northern Line Underground Station (zone 4) has a journey time to the West End of around half an hour.
