Chesterfield specifications All of our leather chesterfields can be made to your specifications starting with many variations on size, shape and style. We have a vast selection of hides from British and European tanneries with all types of finishes and colour ranges. Please provide us with your colour preferences so that we can send you samples. You can bespoke your chesterfield sofa by choosing self piping or any type of nails from our comprehensive range. Likewise you can order chesterfield sofas with or without bun feet or castors and decide which seat cushions you would like either in high density fire retardant foam, poly fibre or feather. Alternatively your chesterfield settee can be finished in velour, satin, silk brocade, damask, linen or any designer fabric of your choice. Bespoke Chesterfields and banquet seatingFor either fixed or removable purposes we make bespoke chesterfields to clients’ specifications for many applications including hotel lobby areas, nightclubs, restaurants or private residences. Chesterfield workshopOur Chesterfield Workshop showroom is based at the Newport Barn which is 15 minutes drive from London Stansted airport at junction 8 of the M11 motorway, 1 hour drive from London Luton and by train 50 minutes from London, Liverpool Street. At the Chesterfield Workshop you are able to view our range of chesterfields and decide which model is suitable for you. Please call prior to a visit to arrange an appointment with one of our representatives to make sure we can deal with your personal requirements accordingly. Chesterfields – historyIt is widely believed that seating began with the Egyptians around 3000 B.C. evolving over the years developing in shape, design and use of the seat. As new materials and methods became available the upholster started to form new styles making them from a basic frame to an overall padded shape for comfort and style. The Chesterfield sofa was invented by the ‘Earl of Chesterfield’ and was referred to in those days as a ‘Couch’. Today Oliver Hare International offers the customer a huge selection of models traditionally known throughout the world which have been technically developed over the years. |
