This page sets out guidelines relating to the way in which Fen Digital works with clients that it promotes through search engine marketing.

Working with our clients

We may not have availability to start work immediately on a search engine marketing project, but will agree a date by which work will start.

We reserve the right to refuse to create a profile for a website which we judge to be unfit for publication on the internet. This includes, but is not limited by, sites containing adult oriented material, sites which promote ethnic, social or religious discord, and sites which infringe copyright or do not comply with UK laws.

Reliance on information supplied by our clients

Profiles that we create of our clients’ businesses are based on the information they supply to us. Our clients are responsible for the completeness, accuracy, and legality of all content. Any content clients give us for publication on the profile will be assumed to be their property and free from copyright restriction. Any person referred to in content that clients give us, including images or text, is assumed to have given consent to publication on the profile.

We are not responsible for the content of any third party linked site.

Fen Digital shall have no liability to the client in respect of any damage claimed by a third party in connection with the products or services supplied by the client which are described on the profile page or on related links to it created by Fen Digital.

Browser compatibility

We aim to design profile pages which display acceptably in Windows Internet Explorer 5, 6, and 7, and Firefox, but cannot accept responsibility for pages which do not display acceptably in less common browsers, or in versions of browsers released after pages have been designed. We do not guarantee to design pages which will display in all browsers.

Availability of profiles and search engine listings

We have had a successful track record in achieving high visibility in the search engines for our clients over a continuous period. However, we cannot guarantee achieving a particular position for a specific keyword term in individual search engines, or the time it will take to achieve a specific position, as these factors are influenced by issues outside of our control.

We can accept no responsibility or liability if a particular search engine, online directory or search site chooses not to list a client’s website or business profile, as this is outside of our control. We do not accept any responsibility for any action beyond our control that may affect your services.

We make every effort to maintain the position of your website and business profile in the search engines, but cannot be held responsible for lapses in the service or changes to their search engine positions due to factors beyond our control, such as a change in search engine algorithms or down time on the server hosting Fen Digital’s domains on which your optimised profiles are published.

We reserve the right to remove business profiles if payment is not received by the due date.

We reserve the right to suspend or modify the service at any time provided that there is a justifiable reason for doing so, such as a breach of any of these terms.

Link to fen digital directories

We require our clients to insert at the foot of their website home page a link to the fen digital business directory in which their company profile is linked. For example: profiled in Top 100 businesses.

Exclusivity

Unless an exclusivity agreement has been made between Fen Digital and a client, we will not be restricted in carrying out search engine marketing services for any other company or individual in the same or a related field to their business.
