FTA Ltd and ACCA have partnered to make CPD training material available for free to interested professionals. The material is designed to appeal to accountants, lawyers, bankers, principals and other advisers working in finance or dealing with the purchase and sale of businesses.
The material consists of a short self study article together with an interactive multi-choice quiz and should take approximately one hour to complete.
Who the training is for
If you work in the law this is a chance to consider some of the big issues clients worry about. If you work in banking, accountancy or alongside accountants and bankers, this is a chance to reflect on matters that you might come across just once in a while. The training material is especially relevant for professionals who work in financial services or advise on company sales and acquisitions.
Most professionals who are in legal, accounting or other professional practice are required to complete a minimum number of hours of CPD training per year, with CPD requirements determined by their professional body. Law and accounting professionals are encouraged to assume responsibility for their own development and choose from a range of activities relevant to their responsibilities and development needs. In some cases a proportion of the CPD requirement can be met through self study.
Claiming CPD points
Depending on the CPD requirements of your professional body, you may be able to claim CPD points for the time spent studying this CPD module and sitting the multi-choice test. This CPD training module is not explicitly accredited for CPD points with any particular professional body. For details of accredited CPD programmes run by FTA Ltd, please go to: CPD courses.
